Institute of Science and Technology (IST) and Bangladesh Association of Women Scientist (BAWS) had jointly organized a webinar to observe the International Mother Language on 20th February,2021 at 6.30 pm. To pay homage to the language martyrs, this webinar was titled “International Mother Language Day: Morphology of Language”. This was the 10th episode of the series of webinars titled ‘50 Years of Independence of Bangladesh: Progress of Women in Different Fields’, on the occasion of fifty years’ celebration of our independence.” The keynote speaker of the program was Emeritus Professor Dr. Shahida Rafique, Chairman of IST and President of BAWS.
Latifa Quadir, former Principal Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commision, Farida Nasreen, Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance of the Government of Bangladesh, Professor M.A. Mazid, Academic Director of IST, Runa Rukshana Khan, Associate Professor and Deputy Academic Director of IST, Muhammad Ashfaqur Rahman, Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Business Administration, Nafia Laila, Associate Professor, Dept. of Business Administration, Nusrat Ferdous, Assistant Professor and Head, Dept. of ECE, IST and General Secretary of BAWS and other faculty members of IST from Engineering and Business faculty were also present in the webinar as speaker. The webinar was conducted by Ditee Yasmeen, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE, and Program Coordinator of BAWS.
