Institute of Science and Technology (IST), affiliated with National University, Bangladesh, is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year. Over the last decade, IST has earned local and global reputation by creating highly qualified Computer Experts, Scientists and Business Experts of highest potential. Our objective is to empower the younger generation and make a contribution to the nation to help uplift the progress in business, technology and also to formulate policy for overall development of the country. We pledge to ensure the quality of life by ensuring the quality of education. The Institute is regulated by a strong Governing Body consisting of eminent Professors of Dhaka University, Subjects Experts, within the rules and regulations of National University of Bangladesh.

Admission
Being situated in the capital city of Bangladesh, we have students from different parts of the country. Currently, more than 1700 students are enrolled in various programs.
Courses
We are offering 5 undergraduate and graduate programs under 3 departments. Our curriculum is designed to help the students to develop the skills required for 21st century employment.
Tuition Fees
Our tuition fee structure is made to be affordable for the students with the option to pay them in multiple installments, if necessary, to create convenience for the students.
Scholarship
We make sure all our students get the help they need. Scholarships are available for students with excellent academic results as well as for students who are struggling financially.
Professor Dr. Shahida Rafique
Chairman & Founder
Emeritus Professor Dr. Shahida Rafique is the founder and the current Chairman of Institute of Science and Technology.
Previously, she was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Dhaka. She completed her Ph.D in 1979 from the University of London, and Post Doc in 1985 from the Kyoto University of Japan. She founded IST in the presence of Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Abdus Salam.
Research areas she is working on are Communication Engineering, High-Speed LAN/WAN, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Network, Solar Materials & Renewable Energy Technology, etc.
