The online library system of the Institute of Science and Technology was launched on September 1, 2018. Prof. Dr. Shahida Rafique, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organization, Director of IST Prof. Abdul Mazid, Academic deputy director Runa Rokhsana Khan was present at the inaugural function.
All other teachers of the institute were also present on the occasion. The library software was launched at the IST Library with all the faculty and students present. With this software, students will be able to search for books in the library or issue books in their own name while sitting at home. If the required book is not available immediately, the book will be collected at a later time and there is also an automatic SMS system on the student’s phone. To use the software, each student must use a card with a code.
