Biography

Dr. Galib Hashmi is currently working as an Associate Professor and the head of the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (full time) at Institute of Science of Technology (IST). Institute of Science of Technology (IST) is the first affiliated institution of National University of Bangladesh.

Dr. Galib Hashmi   passed SSC and HSC from Mirzapur Cadet College (Under Dhaka Board) and secured the highest grade in both cases.  He received B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Physics Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from University of Dhaka. Later, with distinction he received the M.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Physics Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from University of Dhaka.

After completion of Maters, Galib Hashmi   joined IST as a lecturer in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (full time) at Institute of Science of Technology (IST). He worked hard and has achieved to become one of the youngest Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at IST.

Dr. Galib Hashmi was awarded PhD from University of Dhaka. His department was Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and his thesis was on “Efficiency Improvement of Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Using Different Texturing and ARC Method in Bangladesh”. During his PhD, he worked on the following laboratories:

  1. Solar Cell Fabrication Laboratory (AERE-Savar), Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission
